The purpose of FLOWS (Floating Litter Optimized Waste System) is to create a sustainable floating waste collection system that minimizes water pollution, guards aquatic habitats, and helps communities in managing cleaner and safer waterways. It aims to build a sustainable future where rivers, lakes, and other water bodies are free from floating rubbish and promoted to be healthier ecosystems, safer communities, and a cleaner environment for future generations.

Flows protects the environment by removing floating waste from waterways before it can harm ecosystems or spread pollution, helping to prevent contamination of bodies of water and protecting aquatic plants and animals that depend on clean water to survive. Our project Flows is a solar-powered floating waste collector designed to gather debris in waterways using a lifebuoy-supported frame, solar panel, and dual motors for mobility. Furthermore, Flows is cost-effective, eco-friendly, and designed to demonstrate the practical use of renewable energy in addressing pollution.
